The SP8 Machete made by Ontario Knife in New York state is part of the Spec Plus Next Generation series designed for military, sporting, and rescue use. Full tang blade with chisel nose is hardened to 57-59 HRC. Kraton handle resists the elements and has finger grooves for a secure grip. The blade is epoxy textured and powder coated black steel. Piped lanyard hole in the handle and includes leather cordura sheath. Not the best knife for defense but great for survival, splitting logs, limbing, and felling. It’s flat out a BEAST.
